Meet Your Centre Manager, Miss Shannyn
I started my career in Early Education in 2007 after completing my Certificate 3. In 2012, I upgraded my qualifications with a diploma and soon opened my own family day care. After two years, I transitioned to In-Home Care, providing specialised care within families’ homes. Subsequently, I worked privately as a nanny.
My career took a significant turn in 2019 when I became a foster carer, discovering my strengths in working with children who had experienced trauma. This led me to a Youth Worker role in January 2022, where I completed my certificate in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention. Despite my passion for this work, I left due to safety concerns and continued my career with Honour. In 2024, I furthered my expertise with an advanced diploma in Community Sector Management.

At Honour Early Learning, we prioritise the health and safety of every child in our care. That’s why we’ve employed a qualified Enrolled Nurse who is on-site at all times, ensuring immediate attention for any health-related incidents and promoting the overall well-being of our little learners.
From minor scrapes and sniffles to more serious concerns, our on-site nurse is trained to handle a wide range of medical situations. This means your child receives prompt care without delay, reducing discomfort and giving you peace of mind knowing they’re always in safe hands.

Nursery Environment
The Nursery Environment (6 weeks – 15 Months) offers many programs designed to inspire the imagination and foster mindfulness. From physical movement to nourishing meals and soothing sleep spaces designed to help your little ones drift off to sleep, the Nursery Environment nurtures and inspires until the final minute of the day.

Toddler Environment
Our Toddler Environment (15 months – 2 Years) simultaneously sparks the imagination and inspires calm, with age-appropriate challenges encouraging new ways of thinking. In this age group, our little ones are expanding their wings and experimenting with concepts like sharing, power, independence and kindness.

Junior Kindy Environment
Junior Kindy Environment (2 – 3 year olds) are offered a steady introduction to structured learning, allowing them to begin easing towards school years without losing the sense of fun and play.
